Welcome to our website
Set amongst the rolling West Dorset hills, North Buckham Farm offers a chance to escape routine, switch off and enjoy some quality time. Whatever you want from your holiday this is the perfect place to base yourself. There is so much to see and do that one stay will not be enough to exhaust the possibilities of this stunning area.
Farm life
We are a family farm with two breeds of sheep, Suffolk and Clun. Calves are born throughout the year and lambing starts mid April and goes on into late May. We also have chickens, working collie dogs and cats that all enjoy any attention offered! Chicken feeding and egg collecting is a firm favourite with all the family, as is orphan lamb feeding from May to August.
Farmhouse B&B and Badger's Cottage Self Catering
The rural setting gives a feeling of being worlds away from civilization but our accommodation is well equipped to ensure home comforts and modern needs are met. We are just 2 miles from Beaminster, off the A3066 and only 15 minutes away from the coast at Bridport.
Wildlife and nature
Spring bulbs bursting through, autumn colours creeping in, morning mists hanging in the valley below, a crisp frost on a winter morning or the horizon ablaze with a summer sunset; the ever-changing scenery never fails to impress. See buzzards soaring above or glimpse a fox, deer or badger at dusk.
Food and eating
West Dorset is rich in home grown fresh and organic produce. Preserves, biscuits, breads and even chocolates are all made nearby. This area is blessed by a number of top restaurants; The Wild Garlic in Beaminster, run by Matt Follas 2009 Master Chef winner, the Seafood Restaurant in West Bay and the Hix Oyster and Fish restaurant in Lyme Regis, to name a few.

Shopping
The characterful market town of Beaminster has all the basic amenities you might require as well as gift shops, pubs and tearooms. Crafts and arts are accessible all over West Dorset and Lyme Regis, Bridport, Dorchester and Sherborne offer a variety of individual and unique shops.
Walking and cycling
Whether you are a serious hiker or just enjoy a stroll, the farm and surrounding area can offer stunning scenery with views over unspoiled countryside down to the coast. There are tracks and byways criss-crossing Dorset offering cyclists as much challenge as they wish.
